Rionach smiled happily and raced toward the cave where the light mare was held. She stopped at the entrance. She then walked into the cave inspecting every single bit including the mare.

The mare felt contractions, she then sorta fell down, the pain was great, the foal was half way out and it got stuck. Sapphire groaned out in pain. But then it came out and Sapphire weakly raised her head and forced herself to nicker a greating to her foal at this unforgiving world.

Blade heard her fall to the ground and saw the foal coming out. He was glad it was a colt of pure dark and not that light mare. He stood tall as the foal came out and felt proud to be the father of such a wonderful colt.

Taurel nickered and practiced standing up. Sapphire pushed herself up then incouraged him forward. Taurel then after all the attempts he stood up and took his first steps and nursed.

Taurel nursed from his mother than turned to his father. Seeing him stand tall made him want to be like him. He then turned to his mother "I wuv you guys."

Taurel pranced around the cave testing out his legs and shaking his in the meantime. "Hey daddy you think I'll be as strong as you some day?" Blade smiled at his son "Yes I'm almost positive you will be. Come here let me show you something." Blade led Taurel out of the cave and stood near the cliff. "See over there all those stallions fighting. I'm their leader and when your big and strong like me then you'll be their leader." Taurel looked over the cliff's edge and got a bit dizzy but hearing his father's words made him proud. "Wow!" Was the only thing he could say.
