*stands under a tree and closes her eyes for several minutes then trots back down towards the water quite a ways from where the other two were and stands chest deep, letting the waves wash over her*

Spirit was in the water for quite some time, approximately 30 minutes. When he felt please with himself he left the water and walked up to Sky. "I suppose you better be heading back to your young one. She must miss a mother like you a lot." He smirked then went over to the shade and swatted at a fly, nickering lightly at his victory against the little creature.

*stands out in the tide blocking out everything but the sound of the waves until she could feel the coolness of the waves all the way through her, walks out of the water and stands still, letting a light breeze dry her off*

Spirit nodded. "Tell the young one her mother is perfect for her and to not miss a moment with her." He then flicked his mane and flashed a smile at Sky before galloping off along the shore. He passed and Mist and nickered a greeting. "Follow me if you can." He laughed then went at his fastest pace, which would be faster than a normal horses gallop.

He chuckled as she tried to keep up but him still being quite a distance ahead of her. "The sea can really change a person." He chuckled and jumped over a few rocks that was in his way. He glanced back and smiled as he slowed canter so to a canter so that he was right next to her.

"I've lived here most of my life and I feel as I'm part of the sea itself." He smirked and looked out of the rolling waves and sighed.

Spirit shuddered at the thought of living in the desert. "I would hate to live in a place like that, no water what so ever." He nickered as he breathed the air and jumped over a tree stump that was near the shore. He heard an orca blow out of it's blowhole and he turned to see one in the sea. "Their beautiful creatures but they are dangerous." He pointed to a scar on the lower part of his front right leg while still running. He then looked back up and snorted at the orca.

It depends on how you're raised I guess. I was born for life in the desert.*pricks her ears at the orca* I know, one came after me earlier. I gave it a good scolding.*chuckles* I doubt it understood me though.

"Well one attacked me about a month ago and in the water. If I wasn't fully focused as I was I would have surely died." He slowed down a bit to a trot and then a walk as he lipped at the salty water. As his head was down his mane fell over his face and dragged in the water leaving little ripples.

*nods* Lucky I saw it before it came after me, and that I know how to take off quickly from water and I'm able to do it. It still grazed my tail though.

Sky arrived at Sunset Beach with Adelina next to her. "Oi, Spirit!" she called

Spirit perked his ears at the sound of Sky. He turned to Mist. "Well nice meeting you." He turned around and cantered off in the direction of Sky's scent. He also smelled another filly and soon saw that it must be Sky's foal. He slowed down and trotted over to them as he stopped. "Hello Sky." He nodded then smiled at the filly. "And I presume you are the lovely filly your mother has talked so dearly about." Adelina watched as Spirit came over and speak kindly to her mother and her. "Yes I am Adelina."

Sky smiled at both of them then turned to Adelina "Well, this is Spirit and this is Sunset Beach" she motioned to the horse, then the place.

Spirit nodded then smiled at Sky. ~She belongs in a place like this~ He then walked over to some sea grass near the shore and started to graze from it.

Sky looked at him before turning and setting off down the beach, motioning for Adelina to follow. Her trot soon turned to a canter, then forward to a gallop and increased in speed until Sky was galloping faster than ever before. She suddenly remembered about Adelina and skidded to a halt, waiting for the filly.

Sky trotted out to stand in the sea. The waves lapped against her fetlocks, and she sighed with content.

Spirit smiled as Sky and Adelina stood in the waves. As he watched them he suddenly could see his old mate and daughter. Shaking his head the two old images went back to Sky and and her foal and he sighed in despair. ~If only I could have saved them.~ After eating his fill, Spirit walked over to a small spring and started to sip from the water. Every once in a while he would lift his head and look at the two to make sure they were safe, water dripping from his mug.

Sky looked at Adelina. "Like it here?" she asked her daughter "We can go if you don't". She glanced over at Spirit, watching him drink from the current. She saw him look at her though, and sheepishly turned her head back to the filly.
